Coming from a place like New Zealand has influenced me in so many ways. It's an aspect of my life that I'm obviously very proud of, but also poses contraints, the largest of which that I've experienced is isolation.
In the past, isolation has forced New Zealanders to have a number-8 wire mentality. From Richard Pearse's first flight, to Ernest Rutherford's first splitting of the atom, New Zealanders have been using their ingenuity to create amazing discoveries and accomplishments out of their garage.
"Remote Land" is an ongoing piece that explores isolation and the advantages and disadvantages it creates.
